Ring A3

Stone enterlacing
This Ring is the third creation in the four sphere segments series created by the artist. It rests on the ground on two solid slate beams. It is illuminated by an integrated and remote-controlled halogen light.
With a radius of thirty centimeters, the piece is made of ceramic according to a specific mesh that is frequently found in the artist’s production. This interlacing of stones allows the creation of an object with simple shapes and a unique design.
The ring assembly is very hard and can withstand high pressure stresses without breaking. All the electrical installation elements are concealed between the two beams located under the segment.

A projection takes place
The plastician works the stone as if it were metal. He welds together the various elements of the grid to finally get a work that tends towards abstraction. According to his trademark, Philippe Fares has installed three bicolor halogen lamps at the bottom of the object’s loop. They powerfully iridescent the space in blue and white tones.
A projection takes place through the openwork structure of the ring. It was imagined by the artist using trigonometry from the cones of light bulbs. The latticework thus projected reveals on the vertical and horizontal planes (walls and ceiling) an infinite number of white rhombuses with bluish edges.
Avec A3, Philippe Fares, nous fait à nouveau une démonstration de son savoir-faire en matière de technique et d’esthétisme dans la plus pure abstraction.
