Hyperbolic paraboloid
This piece is a hyperbolic paraboloid representing a Plücker conoid. The left surface which spreads in space is paved with a bluish grey ceramic. It is particularly highlighted by the remote-controlled halogen lighting.
The latter is an integral part of the work and allows the power of the light to be translated, while playing on its iridescence or variations. The two spotlights embedded in the stone are adjustable. It is thus possible to modify the illumination of the tendril and to free the object from its luminous imprint.
The Conoid anchors its position in space by projecting beams on its environment. Fragile and moving, the bluish light coming from the black stone base literally surrounds us. The work is made of a finely chiselled ceramic that reflects the blue beams of light. It is thus virtually imprinted on the surrounding vertical and horizontal planes.

An adjust surface
The piece is part of an orthonormal reference frame, consisting of the master plan of the granite base and the perpendicular axis of symmetry of the cylindroid.
It is a regulated surface: through each point of the latter passes a straight line contained in the surface. This property allowed the artist to design the skeleton of the geometrical figure inside a parallelepipedic template. In a way, he threw his straight lines to obtain a veiled surface.
Finally, the realization of the sculpture is carried out by the plastician, in order to be as close as possible to his creative anticipation.
Very marked by the relationship between shape/color/surfaces, geometrisation leads to a pure and abstract composition.
